Creating Antique Looking Vases

Its so much fun thinking an Idea in my head and then running to the store to pick up supplies, not knowing if its going to turn out the way you imagine in your mind.

Today I picked up some glass Vases, bubble stickers, spray paint
and hurried home with an idea I could not wait to try out.
I imagined creating a vase that would look really old
I first spray painted the glass vases
After they were dry I took some bubble stickers and glued them to the sides of the vases
I took some nail polish and spread some around on the vase to make it look like an antique
then I painted the bubble stickers with the same nail polish.
I am so excited to see how they turned out
These can make some really cute Christmas gifts
You can make them for parties and weddings.
Don't be afraid to try new things and if you come up with an
Idea, go for it! You can't go wrong and you may be surprised how it turns out.

Painting with Stencil "A Fun Christmas Gift Idea"

I am so excited about this idea
I took some canvas panels, paint
Stencil and Beads.
I painted each Canvas a soft color and then
After the paint dried, I placed the stencil centered
on the Canvas
I painted the stencil with a white tone.
Once the paint was dry I removed the stencil.
I added a couple beads to bring sparkle.
These painting can make beautiful gifts or you can
use them in your home
Or even use them with weddings and parties. I am truly excited
how they turned out and cannot wait to see what I can make next.

These turned out even more amazing then I thought they would.

Ideas for updating old Vases

Supplies needed are
Old Vases, Paint, Rope Ribbon, Nail Polish and Hot Glue Gun
( Please be careful with the glue gun )

I washed some old Vases and
I painted them each Matalic Colors.

After the paint dried I Hot Glued some Rope Ribbon around the Vase
I added some Nail Polish around the edging and the curves just to give
it an antique look
These can make some really cute Holiday decorations
You can use them for any room in the home with or without Flowers
I have been looking at these old Vases for a while and trying to decide what to do with them
I am really excited how they turned out
I am no expert, I am a mom who loves to Craft.

In Crafting there are no mistakes just Unique Creations

In
CRAFTING
there are no mistakes
Just
Unique creations

I attempted to paint some candles the other day.
I found that it was difficult for the paint to attach and
There were lots of gaps
I attempted to add more coats of paint and still had some issues.

I woke up this morning with an Idea and ran to the store to get some supplies
I love these colors of nail polish
As you can see it turned out beautiful

I would recommend opening a window or door to air out the house,
I do not like the smell of nail polish, I do like the way it looks on a Candle

There are so many amazing shades of colors and styles to choose from
and of course you have to add some ribbon and lace

The fun ideas with crafting are the ones you choose to try
Don't be afraid to try out some ideas
You never know what you might come up with

These candles could be used for parties, Weddings
And gifts for your guest's

I love crafting because it makes me smile
And sometimes we all need to smile more often then we think

I am thankful for my friends and family who support me with this blog
As you can see, my grammar is not that good.

However, I feel like me again and haven't felt like that in years
I am really having fun, I hope you are as well

What a difference a new Lamp Shade can make

I've had this Lamp for several years
and as you can see its started falling apart

This is what it looked like on my little table in my living room
It truly needs an upgrade. My poor Lamp looks so sad.
I'm no expert and I just try and figure things out as I go.
First you have to find the right Lamp Shade, you can find them at any Craft Stores or Walmart. I found mine at Hobby Lobby.
The starting cost was $5.99 however, it was on sale for 50% off! Yes!!!
One of the issues of trying to replace an old lamp shade, is finding one that will connect with the style of the light Bulb. These new Lamp Shades Clamp on. That makes it so much easier...
I also found that the Ribbon at Hobby Lobby is 30% till tomorrow
I believe after looking at so much Ribbon, I finally found
The Ribbon for my Lamp.
Time to pull out the Hot Glue Gun. (Please be careful, you can really get a bad burn with a Hot Glue Gun)

I am so excited how this turned out.
It makes such a difference with my little table and adds
So much color. I hope you like my new Lamp Shade

I think my table looks so cute and I cannot wait to see what changes I can make next.
What you want to do when you are buying a Lamp Shade with some Ribbon,
Have the store employee measure the Lamp Shade to get the correct amount of Ribbon

Throw Back Thursday With Crocheting

I made this jacket for a friends granddaughter a couple years ago.
I really loved the Button I found. I was so excited for how this Jacket turned out. I had never made any clothing before. I took an adult
pattern and adjusted the size to fit a child.

My first attempt to tatting

I made this jacket for my niece for Christmas a few years ago. I used
the same pattern as the first Jacket. I loved the sparkly yarn and
Just had to use this flower with the Bling

I had this supervisor several years ago and loved hats
So I created this pattern with fur and flowers
I also added a fur scarf to go with the hat
co workers were saying I should sell them but I think
I enjoy giving more then selling.

I'm sure you are wondering, What is this? Well I had a
Co worker who was a go go dancer and I thought it would be fun to
make her a fun outfit.

This one is a favorite
A couple years ago I had this supervisor
who was just so amazing and helpful in so many ways.
I made this hat and scarf for her and she was so excited.
I always try and get to know the personality of the individual before
I make something for them. I love giving gifts

I made over 30 hats last year, I gave some to family and friends
and the rest to the Children's Hospital

This is one of my favorite blankets I made last year around the
Holidays, since I was stuck in bed for over 2 months. The only
thing I could do was crochet.

This also is a square to a blanket I made last year.
I love the star its my favorite

The flower and the hat I made last year for a family member
I love the colors and I also made a scarf to go with it
I was so excited how it turned out and she looks beautiful
Wearing the Hat and Scarf

So many ways to decorate a Candle

First I had to find the right Beads and Ribbon
Remember you can mix colors and even paint the Candles

I found these small candles on sale over at Hobby Lobby
I have so many Ideas that I didn't know what to start with

As you can see, you can put items you want to use next to the
Candle and see what will look the best together

I had so much fun that I created these 3 with flower ribbon
Silver lace Ribbon and beads
Of course I couldn't stop there, so I decided to
Try mixing some Ribbons together with Beads

I am so excited how these turned out
I had so many supplies at home and only spent $4.00 for 8 Candles
These can make really cute Christmas Gifts
Or decorations for parties, events you could make them as center
pieces for each guest to take home

You can have fun with creating your own style
