Too many Ideas not enough time

I work at home in customer service.
As you can see, my desk really needed some help.
I am no expect, but I do love a challenge.
This is what my desk looked like the first day I started working at home over 3 years ago

1st I took some Home Decor Acrylic Paint. With a medium size paint brush, I added 2 coats of paint just over the top of my desk.

Once the  paint was dry, I took some Clear Vinyl and trimmed  it to the correct measurements for my desk top. I started on the left end and took a can of Elmer's Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, you can find both the paint, vinyl and Adhesive spray at any craft store or you can go to walmart as I did and pick up all the needed supplies.

I sprayed a small section of the desk and placed the plastic vinyl over that  end and smoothed out the wrinkles and continued to spray the next section and smooth out the wrinkles till I came to the other end of the desk top. (I chose to add Vinyl to my desk, because, I write on an erase board and end up with flakes of ink everywhere on my desk at the end of each shift) with the vinyl its allot easier to wipe down the desk after work and not disturb or stain any painted areas.

I love shopping in the Holiday section at any craft store or walmart. You can find some of the most amazing decorations that can be used year round.
So many themes to choose from.
I loved what I found in this next picture so I decided to bring it home, I felt it would match so cute on my desk.

It takes time to find that perfect lamp, You know the one that will go with everything.
I found this lamp in the clearance section while shopping at Target.
I couldn't pass  up the price, only $16.99.
If you are looking for a nice lamp most cost so much money, your more likely to walk past the lamp and say "one day I will come back and buy that lamp"  knowing that day will never happen.
So when I found this lamp I imagined so many ways to improve and make it so stylish.
1st stop, Hobby Lobby to pick up the right Ribbon for the lamp shade. And I think I found some really cute Ribbon that adds style and looks cute with the decorations and pink desk top.

I love this ribbon!
and  believe me when I say, I spent 30 minutes looking at different types, Styles and colors.
till I found it!
"Beautiful"

There are a few easy ways to attach the ribbon.
You can use the Elmer's Adhesive spray or a Hot Glue Gun... I Chose the Glue Gun, its fast and less messy
Please be careful when ever you are using a Hot Glue Gun... "Painful" when you drop or bump the hot glue on your hands or body.
Not fun at all!!!!...

This took 7 yards of Ribbon.
you should always have your measurements for what ever project you are working on.
So you don't over or under buy your Ribbon, You cannot return Ribbon after the store has measured and cut it for you. so make sure you know how much you will need.
So excited! Things are starting to come together now.

Before & After

When I go to work now, I smile and feel like this is my peaceful place.
I also feel like the customers can hear how much I enjoy being at work when my office is fun and colorful.

This is a wider view of my finished desk, after all of the changes I have made.
I even put this flower arrangement together to add some extra color and fun. I picked up a glass vase for less then $3.00's some plastic beaded decorations for a Christmas tree inside the vase then a Ribbon with beads attached to the Ribbon and some green sparkly leaves to add some fun color to the desk..

 Its finished
 I love it!!!!

I am not an expert I just love to make crafts and have fun.
I cannot wait to see what I can do next.
I hope you love the desk as much as I do....
